"I never had kids. Ever. Why are you insisting that I do?"

gcar: I smile. "I don't mean to upset you. Forget I said anything. Just relax." I see a couple of servants enter the infirmary carrying a couple of trays of food. "Ah, it's our supper. Thank you." I say to the servant then place Bakura's food on a table hanging over his bed and eating mine at my desk. "mmm, smells good."

[Kronus]

Yubel:
I return to the lake and pat the sand next to me "come, Callie, have a seat. can Claude bring you something? how about a fresh lemonade? he makes one hell of a lemonade. do you want to stay for dinner today? if you want you may bring your boyfriend, too. Don't go too far into the lake, Jesse"

Callie: I cling to Claude's arm, tightly, full of terror. I close my eyes, taking a deep breath. "I can't stay for long. I... I came to tell you about Bakura. I know you two are fighting, but if my boyfriend was hurt, I'd want to know about it, even if we're quarreling."

[Kronus]

Yubel:
I shrug. "what is it you want to tell me? that he left us alone again? that he doesn't consider us his family? if he doesn't want us, fine, I hope he is happy in his cell. I bet he is. he spends more time there than with us."

Callie: I take another deep breath. "It's not Bakura's fault that he doesn't consider you family. He doesn't remember you or us or anything else that happened in this world, and he won't believe anything that He's got a bad head wound. I was concerned when I saw it, so before I left, I told the doctor. She's probably treating him now. From what I gathered, he only remembers the past before he came here." I pause for a few moments. Then an idea comes to me. "Is Sa'dia, here?"

[Kronus]

Yubel:
I don't answer that question "well if he doesn't remember any of us I guess he is not my husband any more, is he?

Callie: "That's not his fault, though. The head wound probably made him forget. You'll just have to keep reminding him until he remembers. Sa'dia is his sister, from the past he still remembers. If she reminded about the events that have happened since he's been here, he's bound to believe her. Don't you want him to come back? Don't you want your children to have a father?"

[Kronus]

Yubel:
I pull my knees to my chest "I am not even sure any more. when the children came I thought we would have a real family and always be together. but none of that was the case. he was always away since then. always in jail or walking around on his own. and now he lost his memory. yes I know it's not his fault, but that doesn't change the facts. he is hardly a father to the twins. I think I would rather have a husband who can take care of his children. but someone in jail can't do that."

[gcar90]

Callie: "A lot happened in a short amount of time. Give him time to adjust. He'll be fine. Why don't you all come visit him at the mansion? The whole family, Sa'dia, too. That way she can talk to him, confirm what we've all been telling Bakura. If it's any consolation, Bakura won't believe any of us, either. As long as you guys behave yourselves and don't try to bust him out of jail, I'm sure it'll be okay. Maybe, once Bakura has his memory back, we can think of a different solution besides keeping him locked in a cell. I know Fugue's probably sick of putting forth the effort of recapturing him every time he escapes. And you are tired of being without him, when he's not here."

[Kronus]

Yubel:
"I think he would be better of without his memory. he will end up getting arrested of kidnapped again and again. that way he at least won't miss us. not that he ever missed us before he lost his memory. he never wrote a letter."

[gcar90]

Callie: "But what about his children. Won't they miss him?

[Kronus]

Yubel:
"they would. they always do. they missed him before he lost his memory, they missed him afterwards. it didn't change anything for us. now at least he won't miss us."

[gcar90]

Callie: "Would you deny them an opportunity to see their father? If you won't come, have Claude and Sa'dia bring them along to visit Bakura."

[Kronus]

Yubel:
"I don't mind when they visit him. I am sure Akefia would love to. but Bakura wouldn't want us. he will tell them they are not his children. I don't want them upset, but if they want to visit him, fine. I don't care any more. he left us alone for too long. no single letter."

Callie: "I'd be willing to babysit them, while Sa'dia talks to Bakura, first. If anyone can convince him that these are his children, she can. I turn to the kids, bending down to their level. "Kids, do you want to go visit daddy?"

[Kronus]

Yubel:
Jesse comes out of the water "yes. daddy!"
I sigh "how does it matter?"

Callie: "You'll see." I hold out my arms to Jesse, so that if she comes to me, I can pick her up. I ask Kefi the same question. "Kefi, do you want to see daddy?"

[Kronus]

Jesse:
I go to the stranger and let her pick me up "who are you?"

Callie: I hug the girl. "My name is Callie. We've met before, briefly."

[Ebilfluffykitty]

"Daddy got hurt..." Kefi muttered. "I want to see him."

(No letters cuz he wasn't allowed to send them)

[Kronus]

(I never read a post where he asked for permission.)

Callie: "Well the kids want to go." I turn to ask Claude. "Can you find Sa'dia, to let her know that her brother's hurt and needs her help?"

Yubel:
"I don't really know any more of I want him back."
