Zelda: Well, I was planning on making some fried chicken. It takes a while to cook, but it's really nice. -she goes over to the sink and drains out the bowl of water and takes the pack of chicken out, placing in the next area of the sink over- I was letting it defrost while I was gardening, but then all this happened and now it's ready to cook. Could you get some flour from the cupboard and eggs from the refrigerator?

Abel: I get out the things she needs, placing them on the counter. "What next?"

Zelda: -she gets a plat and puts it beside the sink, and she opens the pack of chicken and starts placing the legs on it- Can you get out the frying pan from the bottom cupboards to the left of the stove?

Abel: Nods. Taking care of that for her. "Do you want me to set the table while you're working with the stove?"

Zelda: -she nods- Yes please. It'll be about an hour for it to cook, though. -she preps the flower in a bowl and the eggs in the other, adding a little water to them. she brings the plate of chicken over after she turns the oven on and puts some oil in the pan. when it's hot enough, she starts putting the chicken in the eggs, then the flour, then finally in the pan-

Abel: "I live to serve." I get some plates, silverware, and glasses out, setting the table for supper.

Zelda: -and she preps all of the chicken while he does that, making sure it's all getting cooked well. after an hour and some flipping of the chicken, it's all done! she then turns off the stove, gets a fork, and takes them out of the pan with it and puts it on the plate. she brings the plate over to the table and sets it down- What would you like to drink?

Abel: "Some milk tea, if you have it. With 13 sugars, if you please."

Zelda: You have some sort of sweet tooth, hm? -she prepares the tea and brings it over to him when done, and after that she gets herself some water-

Abel: I smile. "Thank you." I wait for her to return with her water. I raise my cup of tea, in a toast. "To the wondrous angel of mercy that is my hostess."

Zelda: -she toasts his glass with hers- You're welcome, and thank you as well.

[gcar90]

Abel: I sip. "But I did nothing. It was all you and your kindness, princess."

[PalkiaDS]

Zelda: I was thanking you for the compliment. -she takes a sip of her water and dishes herself up some chicken-

[gcar90]

Abel: "It was well deserved, I assure you." I, politely, wait my turn, then serve myself. After a few bites. "Do you live here, by yourself, Zelda?"

[PalkiaDS]

Zelda: -she nods- Yes, I do. -she takes a bite out of her chicken-

[gcar90]

Abel: "It must be lonely. It's also dangerous. Is there, really, nobody to protect you all alone in this big house?"

[PalkiaDS]

Zelda: It's kind of lonely, but I learn to cope. Sometimes I go to the city to meet up with a couple friends, and I'm thinking about getting a pet as well. -shakes her head- There's nobody to protect me, but I can protect myself.

Abel: "You must be a strong woman. Would it be an intrusion if I were to assist in protecting you? As thanks for allowing me to stay here."

[PalkiaDS]

Zelda: Well... If you really want to, then I'd appreciate it.

[gcar90]

Abel: "It would be my pleasure, Miss." I take a few bites, practically falling to the floor. "Oh MY! Not only is she merciful, but she cooks like an angel, as well!"

[PalkiaDS]

Zelda: -she takes a few bites as well and chuckles- Thank you. I looked up some good recipes online for fried chicken and that's what I saw.

Abel: "Good?! This isn't just good, it's great! The best I've ever had."

[PalkiaDS]

Zelda: Have you ever tried fried chicken before?

[gcar90]

Abel: "I have. But none this good."

[PalkiaDS]

Zelda: Well, thank you.
