I wouldn't mind living with you, you are a nice woman and I heard good things about Harry, but I wouldn't like living in a land inhabited by so many Americans. according to what I heard, they are not the smartest in general.
I heard a story about an exchange student from America who came to Germany but didn't know Hitler died 69 years ago and that he'd be 125 years now if he wouldn't have died back then.

well, as far as I know, Americans aren't really interested in the rest of the world.
I might be mistaking (is that a real word?), but so far I thought Germany wasn't that unimportant in the cold war. But of cause it could also be that that's just our opinion, but none of the big guys cared about us. anyway, we were directly at one of the two borders between Russia and the USA. Do you know there were two Germanies for some time?

Most Americans are oblivious in regards to noticing the rest of the world, yes. Most Americans can't seem to pull their heads out of their asses to notice that the rest of the world hates us. Americans just do what they want and screw everyone else that gets in the way. Americans are obnoxious.

Yes, yes I do. I think it was American President Kennedy that told the German People, in German, that he was a doughnut, ("Ich bin ein Berliner') during the Cold War when the Berlin Wall went up? Obviously, what he meant was he supported East Berlin and all the German people on the Russian side of the border. Funny presidential moments. But yes, I do know. 1989 the Berlin Wall came down.
IMHO, Germany, both of them, were little more than a rope in a giant game of Tug-o-war, during the cold war. That whole thing was nothing more that a giant pissing match between Russia and the US with the rest of the world as minor players.

Yes, Germany did win the cold war, after many years of being separated into two countries, it became one in 1989.

Hitler didn't count, he was Austrian, Goebbels... there you might have something.

Just got home from my interview

It went pretty well. I'm extremely confident about getting this job

I was really nervous and didn't know what to say but the lady interviewing me started teasing her co-worker about the shirt he was wearing and made me laugh, which really helped me relax

wow, congratulations. and you seem extremely lucky. sounds like they were nice people there, she helped you when she saw you are nervous. take that job, girl!

I don't mind staying up so long. 2 hours of sleep is enough for me somehow. that day I tested it. went to sleep at 6 and got up at 9. I was fully awake the entire day.

I may need to go shoe shopping.

And shirt shopping

I found some pants that I can wear.

I didn't ask about the shirt because I figured they'd provide me with one like at fast food restaurants.

I can probably wear any nice solid color shirt.

Shoes are another story. My feet are so stubborn, it's hard to find a pair that feels comfortable.

I can wear tennis shoes if I wear black socks but I'm going to have to get a new pair. The pair I have is all scuffed up and worn out.
