"he isn't harming anyone in our hideout either. at least not as long as you leave him alone. that scout that you send won't spy any more, but that's because he didn't want to leave him in peace. besides, he is unguilty. I am the guilty one. I made all the descisions, he was just offically guilty. So I should go to prison and he should go home."

"Yet he plans to execute me does he not? Even if he did it wouldn't get rid of me. Just my Landlord. But even then it would still be a waste. The magic of this world can't be controlled. So what's the solution? Lock me up and throw away the key, right? Or why not just banish me? That way I can still be with my family. I'd be free but I wouldn't be allowed to go anywhere unless it's in the forest. Oh but wait. The forest is part of Waltz's territory. So I wouldn't be able to even leave my house. Except my house is in the forest so I'd still be on Waltz's territory. If he claims that this entire world is his then there isn't anywhere he can banish me to because I'd still effectively be on his land so he could come in and arrest me for trespassing even though I'm not. I'm willing to talk to him but I doubt that he'd be willing to listen."

"Waltz didn't but Rene certainly did. And when he asked if I'd be executed after I'm well again you said yes. So what am I supposed to believe." Bakura got off the bed. "I think I've regained enough of my memory that I don't need to be in here any longer. It's just a matter of time before I remember everything else. And like I said. I'm willing to talk to Waltz. But if he's not willing to listen, then it not my problem."

"killing you was my idea. how about a new deal my freedom for his. he was just the subordinate who executed the crimes, I was the one really guilty for this. without my bad influence, Bakura would leave everyone in peace and you would have the real criminal in prison.

"So you're saying Bakura was just a pawn that you'd have gotten rid of if he ever went against you?" Waltz asked. He shook his head. "You're covering for him, trying to make him out to be your accomplice. But that means he's still guilty, regardless of who the real criminal is."

(I was brainstorming and I came up with the idea that if Bakura was beaten up enough it would bring out his true self, which would take over and practically reduce the mansion to rubble, and then he'd flee and go into hiding)

"I could easily just take both of you and let someone else raise your children. Perhaps Callie and Yami." Waltz smirked. "I'm sure your husband would be thrilled to have his enemy raise his children." He then frowned. "I'm not the only one you have to convince. There are a lot of people you two hurt. Tell me. Your husband hurting Rene. Was that your idea too? Because I doubt Rene will see it that way."

"pff, it wasn't all my idea and he is also not unguilty. but I am more guilty than him and therefor should be punished more. what kind of justice is it, that I may walk around free while he is imprisoned? Especially compared to your crimes. Maybe the throne was yours to begin with and maybe we stole it from you, but you did the same. You fought against the ones currently in charge and you are trying to tear the father of two innocent children away from us. you are also a criminal. anyway, you can't arrest me, we had a deal."

"I can't arrest you when you're offering yourself to me to be imprisoned in your husband's place? And how is taking back what belongs to me wrong? By that logic if someone took your children from you and you took them back they could accuse you of the same crime they committed."

"When you steal something it's not legally yours. The position was legally mine to begin with. I was born royalty. You two were not. Now if I gave it to you, that would be different." Waltz took a piece of blank paper off the table and handed it to Yubel. "An example. I just gave this to you. So it's yours." He took it back. "Now I just took it from you. It's mine now. If you were to take it back from me I could say you stole it. But then you would argue that I gave it to you in the first place. But I would say that I gained ownership of it when I took it. You see what I'm talking about?"

When you steal something, it becomes yours. maybe your stupid laws written on paper say something different, but the reality is, when I take something, it is mine. that's how the world works, and your stupid laws can't change that. We took the throne, it was ours, you took it, now it's yours. but you stole it from us."
